PNR103 Medical-Surgical Nursing
Continues preparing the student to practice nursing within the regulatory frameworks using the nursing process, and the core values of diversity, equity and inclusion. This course examines common medical-surgical diseases and related nursing care. Didactic, simulation, and clinical experiences will assist in the application of the nursing process and clinical judgement to patients with disorders of various body systems. Students will use evidence-based knowledge with sensitivity to health disparities to provide holistic, culturally competent, patient-centered care for patients with diverse nursing needs. Students will continue to build on their knowledge, skills, and attitudes for nursing practice, guided by the Nurse of the Future Core Competencies.
