Biotechnology Certificate (BOC)

 Type: Career, Certificate (C1)

Open Admissions

Division: STEM and Business

The Biotechnology Certificate is a one-year laboratory science intensive program which is designed to prepare students and retrain professionals for entry into the field of biotechnology. The curriculum provides both the theoretical and practical hands-on laboratory training needed for entry-level positions in the biotechnology industry.

The following background is recommended for this program: algebra and biology. Students without this background may need to take prerequisite course work prior to enrolling in some of the courses required in this program.  Students are strongly urged to meet with the program coordinator on a semester basis to review the program, and discuss course selections for successful completion of the program.
