Advising Notes

The LPN to RN Advanced Placement Option is a full-time day program designed for Licensed Practical Nurses who graduated from a Practical School of Nursing approved by a U.S. State Board of Registration in Nursing. Completing the General Education courses is required before admission to the program. Accepted students must successfully complete a two-credit course, Transition to the Role of the Professional Nurse, during the summer session prior to the start of the Program in the Fall semester. Students are able to complete the Program in one academic year. Successful completion of the Program enables students to take the NCLEX-RN examination and apply for a license as a Registered Nurse.

Courses are listed in the recommended order you should take them.

Many courses have prerequisite requirements that must be fulfilled to be eligible to enroll in the course.

If you intend to graduate with an associate degree in two years, you should enroll in at least 15 credits if taking only fall/spring courses.

Completing at least 30 credits each year helps students stay on track to timely graduation.

All student degree audits for graduation purposes will be based off the official program of study the student is enrolled in.
