NSG106 Transition to the Role of the Professional Nurse
This course prepares selected Licensed Practical Nurses to make the transition from the role of the Licensed Practical Nurse to the role of the Professional Associate Degree Registered Nurse, utilizing the framework from Maslow's Higher Needs Theory, the Nursing Process and the Massachusetts Nurse of the Future Core Competencies. Selected topics and skills are presented to provide a synthesis of prior learning with the philosophy and student learning outcomes of the Nurse Education curriculum. Upon successful completion of this course the LPN to RN student is awarded 19 advanced standing credits for NSG101, NSG102, NSG104 and NSG105.
