Program Information

  • WIOA eligible
  • CORI/SORI required
  • Proof of immunization and a negative TB required
  • Day or Evening program
  • Class size limited

Campus Information

  • Danvers and Lynn campuses
  • Required clinical hours are scheduled at local nursing facilities and may vary from classroom hours.

Additional Requirements

  • Students must be at least 16 years old to take this class.
  • Students must complete 100 hours of nurse assistant curriculum to be eligible to sit for the Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant Exam.
  • Students must sign and be able to perform the requirements within the Technical Standards https://www.northshore.edu/professional/programs/xcn/technical-standards.html
  • In order to stay current those working in the field must update their CPR/AED certification every two years.

Advising Notes

This program is intended to prepare a student for the Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant Exam. Upon scoring high enough on this exam, a student is eligible for entry level employment as a nurse assistant.

 
Students who successfully complete this course will also receive a Home Health Aide Certificate, Hand in Hand Dementia Certification, and CPR Certification.
