Required clinical hours are scheduled at local nursing facilities and may vary from classroom hours.

Additional Requirements

Students must be at least 16 years old to take this class.
Students must complete 100 hours of nurse assistant curriculum to be eligible to sit for the Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant Exam.

In order to stay current those working in the field must update their CPR/AED certification every two years.

Advising Notes

This program is intended to prepare a student for the Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant Exam. Upon scoring high enough on this exam, a student is eligible for entry level employment as a nurse assistant.

Students who successfully complete this course will also receive a Home Health Aide Certificate, Hand in Hand Dementia Certification, and CPR Certification.
