MAC150 Introduction to Pharmacology for Medical Assistants
This course introduces students to the basic principles of pharmacology and medication administration in the healthcare setting. Students will explore drug classifications, mechanisms of action, routes of administration, and safe medication practices. Emphasis is placed on developing proficiency in dosage calculation, including the use of the metric, apothecary, and household measurement systems.
