HON200E I Am Hip-Hop: A Cultural, Artistic, and Social Movement
This course frames Hip-Hop from its five foundational elements of: MCing, DJing, Breakdancing, Graffiti, and Knowledge. This seminar uses the tools of sociology, communication, place and cultural studies, to examine the early development and current state of this transformative cultural arts and social movement locally, nationally, and internationally.
