PTA202 Physical Agents
Offers theory and practice in the use of thermal, mechanical, and electrotherapeutic agents. The basic principles, physiological effects, indications, precautions, and contraindications are discussed for modalities including but not limited to superficial heat and cold, hydrotherapy, ultrasound, traction, intermittent compression, TENS, NMES , iontophoresis, hi-volt, and interferential. (2 lecture hours per week)
