GRA101 Introduction to Graphic Design
This course presents the formal elements of idea generation and creativity, typography, color and layout principles in the context of design responsibility and the development of professional attitudes and approaches to problem solving. Basic graphic design history, terminology and design elements are studied and applied. Projects will be manually completed from rough draft to finished plan according to best practice design and workflow procedures. Cultural, ethical, and environmental influences on design from a local and global perspective will be investigated.
