EDU201 Multicultural Diversity and Education
This course explores connections between education and multicultural diversity in the American school system. Students examine key educational, philosophical and sociological questions concerning the role of education in our diverse society. They also examine links between structures of educational institutions and practices. Students can develop an awareness of racism, ethnicity, class, gender bias, and explore the structuring of schools to build equity within. This course supports the development of reflective teacher practitioners who analyze forces that influence American public education.

6 credits of Freshman Composition (CMP 101 and CMP 102-150 Elective)
