DTC100 Introduction to the Dietetics Profession
This career focused course will introduce students to traditional and non-traditional working opportunities within the field of nutrition, dietetics, and foodservice management. The course is designed to provide an understanding of the educational, experiential, and regulatory requirements necessary to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RD / RDN) and / or certified dietary manager and certified food protection professional (CDM, CFPP). Students will also be exposed to ethical considerations and scope of practice, engage in career preparedness activities, and learn from other professionals within the field of dietetics.
