This class encompasses the following subjects in theory, practical and clinical areas: standard precautions and preventative practices of infection control, principles and practice of scalp care, shampooing and conditioning, facials, facial make up, hair removal, skin structure, growth and nutrition, principles of hair design, hair cutting, hairstyling, braiding, chemical texture services, manicuring, pedicuring, life skills, your professional image and communication for success. Included is an introduction to salon services focusing on sanitation, sterilization and the ability to interact with clients.
