ANS116 Fundamentals of Animal Health
This course is designed to introduce students in the Animal Care Program to the fundamental health issues impacting canines and felines. Areas that will be discussed include vaccinations, parasites and control protocols, frequent skin, coat, eye and ear diseases and recommended treatments, pet first aid/CPR procedures, and the common medically-managed diseases. Students will be introduces to the proper administration of oral and topical medications. (3 lecture hours per week)
