A detailed study of the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics and their applications. Extensive problem-solving involving the basic state functions-internal energy, enthalpy, and entropy; Open and closed systems; Carnot, Otto, and Diesel cycles. Interpretation of the partial derivatives that arise in thermodynamics.
