- This certificate is designed to provide the education needed to prepare students to be a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and for entry level employment in the substance abuse field.
- For students interested in continuing their education in the substance abuse field, courses in this certificate count towards Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Degree.
- If you intend to graduate with this certificate in one year, you should enroll in at least 15 credits if taking only fall/spring courses.
- Taking classes in the winter intersession and summer can accelerate your time to degree completion.
- Many courses have prerequisite requirements that must be fulfilled to be eligible to enroll in the course.
