HRT211 Horticulture Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management

This course explores the business and management principles essential to success in the green industry. Students learn how to develop business plans, structure operations, estimate costs, prepare contracts, and market their services. Topics include job structure, advertising, portfolio development, pricing strategies, business insurance, and professional ethics, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices. Emphasis is placed on understanding business structure, insurance, pricing, and portfolio development to prepare students for management or ownership roles in the green industry.
