EGT101 Introduction to Robotics and Automation Systems
This course is an overview of robotics and industrial machine systems technology. The student will be introduced to basic manufacturing techniques, robot terminology, different types of automation, safety, basic robotic programming, interfacing robotic communications, automated work cells, and robotic applications. Robot operations and programming fundamentals will be applied by the students. Set up and operation, lay-out work, and precision measurements are covered in depth. The program will also cover a basic introduction to 3D printing and CNC machine operations. After successful completion of the class, students will be prepared to take that FANUC Certified Robot Operator test. (Certified Robot Operator with ROBOGUIDE and Certified Applied Robot Operator with ROBOGUIDE)
