CPS221 Database Administration

This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of database administration using Oracle DBMS (Database Management System). The course will cover installation, configuration and tuning a database, managing and optimizing schemas, tables, indexes, and views, creating logins, configuring permissions, assigning roles and performing other essential security tasks, backup and recovery strategies. Fulfills liberal arts, software, and open electives.
