Campus Information

  • Danvers campus
  • Landscape and Garden Maintenance classes are held off campus at the Trustees of the Reservations, Long Hill in Beverly and may vary from classroom hours as they are held during the day.

Additional Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is recommended.
  • Students must provide documentation of 120 hours of supervised field work in order to receive their certificate.
  • Hands-on grounds maintenance requires the ability to bend, stoop, balance, and lift at least 10 lbs, and walk on uneven terrain.

This program is intended upon completion to prepare a student to be eligible for entry-level employment in the landscaping design industry.

If you have interest in continuing your education in horticulture, speak with an agricultural and food services pathway advisor to learn about additional educational opportunities at NSCC.

This program is designed upon completion to be eligible to use credit for prior learning from this program to save time and money on the Horticulture Certificate. Contact CAS for more information on course equivalences and next steps you need to take to begin the next program.
