IDS144 Theories of Healing

This course provides a practical and theoretical understanding of wellness and healing, relying on a variety of views, from scientific medical theory and practice to holism, a paradigm that incorporates emotion and spirituality. Topics include osteopathic, chiropractic, homeopathic and naturopathic medicines; mind/body medicine; and East/West forms of energy medicine, including bodywork therapies, spiritual healing, traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. Fulfills open and liberal arts electives.
