EUT104 Generation, Transmission, and Distribution

This course will present an overview of the electrical generation process, and power plant systems and functions. Transmission lines will be analyzed for impedance, reflection and standing wave concepts. The operation and design of utility power distribution systems will be learned, including planning, load characteristics and the application of distribution transformers, substations, primary and secondary systems, and voltage regulation and voltage reductions. (3 hours lecture, 2 hours lab per week)
