Analysis of static particles and rigid bodies under applied forces. Topics include vector composition and resolution of forces in two and three dimensional space, free body diagrams, equilibrium, force couples, centroids, centers of gravity, analysis of structures, friction, moments of inertia and work. (3 hours of lecture per week)
