ACC106 Computer Applications in Accounting

Utilizes Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks for analyzing and reporting financial data. Excel topics include use of advanced formatting and filtering techniques, functions, tools, tables, charts, as well as collaborating, performing what-if-analysis, automating repetitive tasks, importing and exporting data. Quickbooks topics include maintaining company files, recording invoices, paying vendors, recording sales, journalizing closing entries, processing inventory with discounts and taxes, performing payroll tasks, reconciling accounts and transferring funds. Fulfills open and business electives.(3 hours of combined lecture and lab per week)
